This week at Mining Thursday, an event organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), an important lecture about the progress made over the last decades by the mining regions located in the south of the country will be presented by special guest Rudy Laguna, director of the Center for Competitiveness and Development (CCD.) He will elaborate on the economic and social impact of mining in the Apurimac-Cusco-Puno corridor, from both a historical and a future perspective.
Mining Thursday will also include a panel discussion featuring Baltazar Lantarón, regional governor of Apurímac; Mauricio Rodríguez, former regional governor of Puno; and Paul Pilco, TV Peru correspondent in Apurímac.
