Pre-registration has already begun on the PERUMIN website. Professionals up to 35 years old with at least two years of work experience can apply.
The first PERUMIN Jóvenes, held on October 29 and 30, was the ideal platform to launch the PERUMIN Jóvenes Scholarship, which will cover all expenses for 37 professionals to attend PERUMIN in Arequipa in next September.
Homar Lozano, president of PERUMIN Jóvenes, stated that this initiative aims to identify young professionals and technicians under the age of 35 who are leading high-impact initiatives in both the public and private mining sectors.
He also announced the start of the pre-registration phase for those interested in participating in the scholarship competition. Interested candidates should visit the PERUMIN website and find the PERUMIN Jóvenes Scholarship link, where they can fill out the registration form. "This is the first step towards Arequipa," added Lozano.
During the last day of the first PERUMIN Jóvenes, Lozano, also a director of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), mentioned that the scholarship is aimed at individuals between 23 and 35 years old, graduates of higher education institutions, with at least two years of standout professional experience in the public or private sector.
Lozano explained that the scholarship will fully cover the winners' attendance, including convention tickets, transportation, lodging, meals, and transfers. In addition, winners will have exclusive access to special events, mentoring programs, and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Enseña Perú will participate in the evaluation process for the PERUMIN Jóvenes Scholarship applicants. Angela Bravo, CEO of this organization, commented that this scholarship is an inspiring opportunity for young people to achieve their professional and personal goals.
"PERUMIN is a convention that promotes networking and serves as an inspiration to create new ideas that will improve the future of the industry; young people will be able to achieve this thanks to this scholarship," Bravo explained.
She added that the PERUMIN Jóvenes Scholarship aims to find professional leaders who can inspire others through their experiences and success stories.
