With the purpose of integrating young students into the mining industry and giving them the chance to learn about the most recent advances in this sector, PERUMIN 35th Mining Convention has developed a volunteer program for young people aged 18 to 25 who are attending either university or a technical school.
Volunteers must speak English and be helpful when interacting with attendees, since they will be in charge of helping event goers at entry areas, conference areas, and EXTEMIN Technological and Mining Exhibition Fair.
A matching system has been prepared to allow companies participating in EXTEMIN to select the volunteers that will assist them in their stand based on the profile they need.
Among the benefits volunteers will have are access to keynote lectures designed for them, a certificate of participation, constant training before the event, and much more.
To recruit volunteers, agreements will be signed with different institutions and universities, which, in turn, will launch a call for students to join the program. All volunteers will have a supervisor from their institution, who will work in coordination with the staff of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), the program’s organizer.
