NEWS, INTERVIEWS AND EVERYTHING RELATED TO PERUMIN IN THE MEDIA

On the first day of the Rumbo a PERUMIN mining event, Ancash edition, the progress of the Magistral polymetallic project of Nexa Resources, located in the district of Conchucos, Ancash, which is developing its engineering studies as planned, was announced.

For the first time, it aims at building a traditional processing plant with a SAG mill, two ball mills, four lines of flotation cells, a tailings thickener and a warehouse for copper concentrates, among other usual components of a modern copper mine.

This was reported by Jose Polack, Greenfields Project Manager for Nexa Resources, who said that the Magistral process plant, once built, will produce 34,400 tons of ore per day (mt/d).

Magistral will be a medium mining project and open pit operation. If it starts operations in 2025 and moves forward with its ramp-up that year, this project would operate at a rate of 34,400 mt/d from 2026 to 2038.

Magistral's engineering data revealed by Nexa are even more specific. And although they are not definitive, as they may vary, they give us a clue as to the company's projections. The company is currently studying various production scenarios to optimize its possible future investment.
