, APRIL 28 2021 The Minister of Energy and Mines will give closing remarks on "Southern Mining Corridor: challenges for the development of the regions"

On the third and last day of this cycle of conferences, the signing of an alliance between the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Arequipa (CCIA) is also scheduled to be signed. In addition, the role of sustainable mining in Peru’s development will be discussed.

The IIMP explained that the Minister of Energy and Mines (Minem), Jaime Gálvez Delgado, will be in charge of the closing remarks of this first decentralized event that takes place within the framework of the scheduled activities of Heading to PERUMIN - Bicentennial Edition.

For his part, Macroconsult partner and former Minem head, Gonzalo Tamayo, will present the keynote address "Role of Sustainable Mining in the development of the country." After his presentation, there will be a debate in which will include the presence of the Regional Latam Coordinator of Extractive Industries of the World Bank, Javier Aguilar; the Vice Minister of Mines, Jorge Luis Montero; and the President of the IIMP, Víctor Gobitz.
