LIMA, JULY 15 2021 More than half of Perumin Inspira ventures seek to meet SDG 8

The second edition of Perumin Inspira has received a total of 123, of which 52% of them are focused on contributing to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 which deals with decent work and economic growth.

This was announced by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and Kunan, organizers of the first award given by the mining industry to social enterprises that contribute to the sustainable development of communities in high Andean areas.

They also highlighted that at the close of the application process, a total of 17 regions were represented, including Amazonas, Ancash, Apurímac, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lima, Moquegua, Pasco, Piura and Puno.

ONTIER AND KAMAN

The winner of this competition will receive 4 months of digital technical support from a specialized incubator, promotion within the private sector and in the mining area of influence where the activity will be generated, dissemination by PERUMIN to the external public through the media and a seed capital valued at S/ 15,000.

“We are receiving a very positive response from entrepreneurs from different parts of the country, who seek support to highlight their ventures and find allies to help them strengthen their proposals. We celebrate their enthusiasm and commitment to promote sustainable development”, said Jimena Sologuren, president of Perumin Inspira.

She also revealed that the allies of Perumin Inspira, the Kaman incubator and the Ontier studio will provide non-monetary prizes to the winners.

In the case of Ontier, it will provide 15 hours of legal support for the winners; while Kaman will offer 4 months of digital technical support for the winners.

Ontier is a London-based law firm with offices in 13 countries. It carries out its activity under an agile and global management model that allows them to solve clients' problems with global tools, but with local criteria, arguments, laws and lawyers.

The Kaman Business Incubator of the Universidad Católica San Pablo promotes the development of technology-based and sustainable ventures, as well as a culture of innovation aimed at entrepreneurs and businessmen, to contribute to the well-being of our society.
