, APRIL 29 2021 IIMP signed an institutional cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arequipa

The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) signed an institutional cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arequipa (CCIA), a union organization that represents the business activity of Arequipa, and that promotes the integral development of this region and the south of the country.

This agreement was given on April 29, within the framework of the first edition of the decentralized Heading to PERUMIN program, with the participation of the engineer Víctor Gobitz, president of the IIMP, and Luis Caballero, new president of the CCIA.

The purpose of this agreement is to generate a broad platform for inter-institutional collaboration, which allows the implementation of mechanisms for coordination, interaction, cooperation and reciprocity between both parties, promoting the performance of activities of mutual interest and benefit.

"We are very pleased as representatives of the mining union to be able to strengthen these ties with this important institution, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Arequipa, which will mainly benefit the development of the country," said the president of the IIMP.

In addition, this agreement proposes the creation of spaces for the development of the hotel sector in Arequipa, a region where the thirty-fifth edition of PERUMIN Mining Convention will take place, and which is already part of the identity of this important mining region of Peru.

The first decentralized meeting of Heading to PERUMIN, chaired by Dr. Miguel Cardozo, took place from April 27 to 29, and had the special participation of three ministers of State and a select group of high-level speakers, who discussed the challenges for the development of the regions of the Southern Mining Corridor.
