The host and organizer of PERUMIN 34 Mining Convention is the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), a private, non-profit association created in 1943, that stands as one of the most important organizations of the Peruvian mining sector, building its success and prestige on the technical contribution offered throughout more than seven decades.

The IIMP integrates best mining professionals in order to meet the great challenges faced by the industry in an environment of constant changes and its key aim is to promote competitive and innovative development in/of the Peruvian mining sector.

In this way, the Institute, with engineer Luis Rivera as current president, promotes and carries out activities that contribute to the professional and technical development of its Members, and fosters a strategic long-term vision of the industry.

Along with the PERUMIN Mining Convention, it also organizes the International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers – ProEXPLO, the International Congress of Community Relations, weekly conferences Mining Thursday, Business Breakfasts, among others, that allow the Members, professionals and leading players of the sector to interact between one another.

In addition, it encourages researches and edits of specialized publications such as the journal Mining and studies related to the historical, technical and social development of mining activity.
