Within the framework of Perumin activities, two "hackathons" have been developed that have brought together 604 participants from 37 universities around the country; with the purpose of involving young people with the mining industry.

The president of the Organizing Committee of Perumin 34, Carlos Gálvez, indicated that mining is a platform of opportunities to develop propositions for technological innovation to the multiple challenges that the industry has, offering young people the possibility of finding in it a business and / or professional development

Innovation projects developed by young people, which aim to become startups, will be presented at the event organized by the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP). This new edition will have as motto "Mining: Science, Innovation, Technology and Education”.
