Throughout the years, Logistics activity has become a main factor for all industries, without distinction.

Its role is strategic, since the efficient, quick and timely acquisition of goods and services allows operators to obtain a good product, optimizing benefits for companies at the lowest cost possible. It is practically another operative unit in the organization.

The supply chain management, from the purchase, transportation, storage and control of inventories, as peculiar characteristics for the mining sector. This activity is located in a rough geography. However, developing it requires expensive equipment and constant operational capacity. The spare parts and consumables for production equipment and processes must be registered in information systems that are adequate to quickly be aware of the stock, to guarantee its uninterrupted supply.

For obvious reasons, this criterion is to be applied to the important mining investment commitments announced for the near future. This scenario poses some questions;

Are we ready to face a higher logistic services demand?
Do we have adequate road and port infrastructure?
Is the sea, air and road transportation enough to handle the exterior commerce the new projects demand?

The Logistics Meeting, in its last version, gathers all companies in the sector: mining, construction, contractor, goods and services provider companies, as well as authorities, university teachers and students. For two days, we will have diverse expositions related without activity to share important knowledge and interesting experiences.
